2026 Winter Skating Program
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY before registering!
Is your child ready to spin, glide, and shine? The Middlebury Figure Skating Club, in partnership with Middlebury Rec and Middlebury College, offers fun and inclusive figure skating lessons for kids ages 5–18.
Registration opens Thursday , September 17th for returning skaters and Monday 21st for new registrants
Classes begin in October and end with a joyful group Ice Show in February during Middlebury College’s Winter Carnival.
Skaters are grouped by ability and taught using the U.S. Figure Skating model by experienced, supportive coaches. Most beginner and intermediate lessons are Sunday mornings for 50 minutes between 8 and 10am; advanced lessons are Sunday evenings after 4pm with an additional weekday morning option. Listed class times are the windows of when your sessions MAY be. You will receive an email from the club confirming your practice time and times may vary the first few weeks as we work through balancing numbers and skill levels. Thank you for your patience as we work through the beginning of the season!
All practices are held at the Chip Kenyon ’85 Arena at Middlebury College and will begin October 11th.Skaters need their own skates. Figure skates are encouraged for ages 8+.
Skaters should register for the group in which they skated last year. Skaters who are new to the program should register as "New Skater" regardless of their experience as coaches will assess and place the appropriate group.
Important: If you are registering siblings create an account but do not register family members. Please email Bonnie at programcoordinator@townofmiddlebury.org with the child(rens) name and level to have the 15% sibling discount applied.
